How I Work

Meaningful work requires more than just great ideas and beautiful design. Without a human-centered approach, a clear framework, and well-established phases, we significantly limit our ability to mitigate the inherent subjectivity of creative endeavors.

Using creativity in service of people

I trust that innovation should serve the purpose of improving life. When the needs, experiences, and well-being of people are prioritized throughout the entire design process, the solutions we provide to real-world challenges are built for a meaningful and lasting impact.

I trust that innovation should serve the purpose of improving life. When the needs, experiences, and well-being of people are prioritized throughout the entire design process, the solutions we provide to real-world challenges are built for a meaningful and lasting impact.

Beneath my appreciation for thoughtful projects lies a personal interest in building strong, deep connections with people. After all, everything I do as a designer is developed for them.

Naturally aligned with this perspective, human-centered methodologies have become to me a guiding principle. From research to prototyping and testing, the insights that emerge within this context are fundamentally grounded in empathy, as they result from understanding users’ needs and iterating solutions based on their feedback.

Adapting decisions around the context

Without a clear plan, even the most promising concepts can remain intangible and fail to become concrete results. Frameworks provide a structured approach that allows us to visualize the necessary steps and milestones, directing our efforts toward productive outcomes.

Given the varied nature of real-world contexts, the goal of a framework is not to offer a one-size-fits-all solution or a rigid path in creative developments. Instead, it aims to provide a flexible structure that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of any given project.

Each project is unique, with its own set of constraints, scale, and parameters. By recognizing these individual aspects, we can adapt our methodologies to ensure that the structure supports and enhances the process, rather than restricts it.

Defining strategies based on validation

At the core of any human-centered framework, it's possible to recognize phases dedicated to research, ideation, prototyping, and testing. But rather than following a rigid sequence, they're structured around validation points. Moments of alignment and validation are what actually define the next steps.

Determining when to promote these interactions is not arbitrary, but a strategic decision. They are planned based on the specific constraints of each endeavor, such as timelines, budgets, technical requirements, and client expectations.

Building a solid foundation based on client feedback allows us to confidently navigate the complex and unpredictable nature of creative environments. While the many aspects to consider can make it seem like complexity is a recurring challenge, ambiguity is the real problem. In our quest for genuine value, we should strive not for a simple path, but for a clear one.
